Decide what the video needs to do

“Let's make a video” can lead to very different projects. A silent loop on a website needs to establish a mood without getting in the way. An explainer needs to answer a question. A short ad needs to communicate one idea quickly.

Choose that job before choosing a model, filming a presenter or collecting effects. The format should follow the message and the place someone will see it.

Use a hero loop to set the scene

A hero loop is a short visual sequence near the top of a page. It might show a product, a detail of a process or an illustrative brand scene.

It should support the headline rather than carry information that disappears before someone can read it. Keep the service explanation and call to action in ordinary page text.

Useful checks include:

  • The page still makes sense when the video does not play.
  • A still poster looks intentional while the clip loads.
  • Text remains readable over or beside the footage.
  • Visitors can pause the movement.
  • The mobile crop preserves the important subject.

We are bringing more of this kind of motion into Costa AI Labs' service pages. A loop is one layer in the design; clear content and a usable contact path still do the practical work.

Use an explainer to answer one customer question

An explainer can cover what a service includes, what to prepare or what happens next. Start with the question customers actually ask, then write a factual answer.

A presenter can introduce the topic while screen recordings, photographs and diagrams show what the words mean. If an AI avatar is used, confirm permission for the appearance and voice, and check the final delivery before publication.

An effective edit might alternate between a presenter, a relevant visual and a brief on-screen point. The supporting image should explain the line being spoken rather than decorate it.

Use a short ad for one focused message

A 15-second ad needs a narrow promise of attention: one service, one visual idea and one next step. A practical outline is an opening image, a short explanation or demonstration, and a clear closing.

Our recent Costa AI Labs review cuts explore website design with motion video and practical AI coaching. They are examples of how the same business can need different visual stories for different offers.

A longer 30- to 45-second version can add context once the shorter idea works. Extra duration should add an explanation or demonstration, rather than simply stretch the opening.

Plan the edit alongside the assets

A generated clip or recorded presenter is often an ingredient. The final edit may still need supporting images, captions, branded titles, sound design and versions for different screens.

Keep real project demonstrations separate from illustrative generated scenes. Do not present a concept as footage of a customer result. Use music, photographs and other assets you have permission to publish.

Review the mobile crop, caption readability, spelling, audio and destination link before posting. Also watch the video with sound off: the key message should remain understandable.

Start with a format you can actually use

Choose one destination and one customer question. Gather the approved facts, identify what can be shown and decide what the viewer should do next.

See the motion-video examples for visual directions, or talk through a video project. If the video belongs on a new or upgraded site, explore website design as part of the same plan.
